Q: Does this leather sleeve come in other colors?
A:Yes, we have yellow, green and black. You can choose according to your requirements. We usually have red in stock. Fuel guns with red leather sleep can be made delivery faster.
Q: Can the diesel gun be used to dispense lubricating oil?
A: The Diesel guns are designed for dispensing diesel at low pressure and cannot be used to dispense lubricating oil. Lubricating oil has viscosity and requires high pressure. Using a diesel gun could easily cause the gun to burst for dispensing lubricating oil.
Q: How does an auto cut-off gun work?
A: An auto cut-off gun (or automatic fuel nozzle) uses a brilliant, purely mechanical system to prevent spills. It works by monitoring air pressure at the tip of the nozzle. When the fuel level in your tank rises high enough to cover the tip, a change in air pressure immediately triggers an internal lever to snap the valve shut.
The mechanism operates through a few simple steps:
- Normal Flow (Air Suction): As fuel rushes past the end of the nozzle, a tiny hole at the tip acts as a vacuum tube. It constantly draws in a steady stream of air, keeping the pressure inside the nozzle balanced and holding the valve open.
- The Venturi Effect: The rapid flow of fuel creates a negative pressure (a vacuum) within a narrowed internal passage called a Venturi tube. This pulling force is kept in check by the air constantly rushing in from that tiny hole at the tip.
- Blocking the Hole: The moment the rising gasoline in your vehicle’s tank covers the sensing hole at the tip, air can no longer enter.
- The Vacuum Trigger: Because the nozzle can no longer pull in air, the vacuum inside the tube becomes drastically stronger. This sudden drop in pressure yanks on a flexible internal diaphragm, which trips a latch.
- Shut-off: The lever drops, the trigger releases, and the main fuel valve snaps shut in a fraction of a second.
This entire sequence is completely mechanical—no electronics or batteries are required. Because the mechanism is triggered by a sudden pressure drop, it is highly sensitive to the foam that builds up while fueling, sometimes causing the pump to "click" off before the tank is completely full.
